Taking a Moment to Characterize the Bending Response of Thin Sheet Materials teaser

Overview

This work characterizes the bending behavior of structured sheets using uniaxial bending simulations. Macroscopic bending moments reveal curvature coupling, allowing a homogenized model to reproduce double-curvature deformation in rod networks, multi-material shells, and laminates.
