Programmable Digital Weaves teaser

Overview

Programmable Digital Weaves are 3D-printable structures inspired by woven textiles. Sliding connections between crossing strands enable a range of nonlinear and directional mechanical responses. Virtual and physical experiments explore regular grids, curved strands, interlacing loops, and actuation.
